Job Description
- - Prepare the Request for Proposal (RFP) covering the scope of work and deliverables for all design stages.
- Assess the proposals received from the Consultant(s) both technically and financially and issue a Recommendation report accordingly.
- Manage the development of the design (from Schematic Design stage till Construction Documents stage) with particular reference to the objectives and requirements of the Employer in addition the relevant codes of practice and the requirements for approvals of the relevant authorities and other statutory bodies.
- Monitor the performance of the Design consultant and other consultants in respect of the deliverables associated with the agreed Design Program and provide immediate advice to the top management in the event their progress may affect the Project overall completion date or milestone objectives together With recommended remedial action.
- Manage and co-ordinate the dissemination of design information among st the Project Team in a timely manner such that abortive work is avoided or minimized as much as practicable.
- Manage the Technical review team across all design stages to review the design documents to ensure the quality and completeness of the design packages.
- Monitor the Cost Estimate of the Project across the Design Stages and lead Value Engineering exercise if needed
- Monitor the time schedule cross the Design Stages and take corrective actions if needed.
- Manage and co-ordinate the activities of the Project Team by means of regular co- ordination meetings facilitating in it the production of relevant design Information In a timely manner so that the procurement and construction program can be maintained
- Manage the Technical review team and the Consultant to obtain replies to the RFIs during the Construction stage on a timely manner,
- Attend Operation meetings with the Owner during the Construction stage to monitor the progress on site.
Job Requirements
- Has at least 12 years of experience .
- Excellent communication and management skills.
