SITUATION IN ORGANIZATIONReports to: Offshore Installation Manager (N+1) and Offshore Area Manager (N+2)Direct Subordinates (24): C&I Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Services Supervisor, FST Supervisors (Maint)ACCOUNTABILITIESLeading a team of over 100 offshore personnel in the safe delivery of over 40k bopd production volumes and other short to mid-term business prioritiesContributing to the development and review of all risk assessments to ensure that hazards have been identified, adequate mitigations are in place and risk has been reduced to ALARPDelivering safe and efficient operations by effectively managing the competing priorities of maintenanceACTIVITIESEnsure safe delivery of core business through active management of Base Operations routines and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Campaign and Project activitiesProvide the OIM with analysis and comment on performance, opportunities and risks in order to improve business performance and reduce risk related to Maintenance and HSEQ items.Provide support to teams to ensure production targets are met and production / reinjection volumes are maximized in line with the Production SuperintendentAssure that planned maintenance, inspections, campaigns, projects and workovers are carried out in accordance with company requirements to ensure asset integrity and production optimizationMotivate and inspire staff in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture and encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization related to maintenance outagesCoach and develop operational staff competencies based on staff development plan from HRContribute to the continuous supply of resources within the talent pipeline for succession planningPerform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvementsSupport the OIM in the implementation of relevant company policies, standards and processes to ensure employee safety and comply with legislative requirementsRepresent NOC appropriately and in accordance with code of ethics when interfacing with internal and external stakeholdersPromote cost consciousness across entire network of stakeholders in order to embed a strong cost cultureCONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENTThe Maintenance Superintendent supports the OIM in all matters related to managing the day to day priorities and ensuring safe delivery of maintenance and asset integrity. Site A is located approximately 80km NE of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf in an offshore environment with imposing limitations to work delivery.The position is offshore based – on a rotational schemeQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDEducation: Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalentIndustry Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in O&G production operationsSupervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading others (Discipline Supv. or Equivalent)Management of Emergencies / Crisis Situations: Minimum 5 years’ experience in this roleCompetencies and Behaviors:Thorough understanding and application of industry process safety guidelines and proceduresAbility to set and implement operational objectives, drive performance and foster a performance cultureHighly motivated, flexible in approach and with a proactive mindsetAbility to work with large teams in a complex and multicultural environmentAbility to take command in an offshore emergency and effectively manage a crisis situationStrong leadership, communication and analytical skillsFluent in written and spoken EnglishComputer literateCertifications:Offshore Emergency Response Team LeaderManagement of Major EmergenciesAdvanced First AidBasic and Advanced FirefightingOil Spill Principles and Management Level 1Basic and Advanced Cause Tree AnalysisAll staff must be willing to participate in crisis response training and to assist during emergency response situations if required
