Job Description

 

  1. Lead and manage the logistics  team to ensure operational efficiency and performance.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and monitor outbound logistics operations including transportation management for inland and export operations.
  3. Oversee and improve logistics processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. 
  4. Prepare and analyze logistics reports (e.g., KPIs, transport costs, delivery schedules). 
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with logistics service providers and vendors.
  6. Train, mentor, and evaluate logistics staff; ensure development of team capabilities.
  7. Handle logistics-related problem-solving and crisis management.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of logistics systems and software (e.g., WMS, TMS, SAP, ERP systems).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis and reporting).
    • Understanding of transportation regulations, import/export procedures, and incoterms.
    • Experience in route optimization and freight cost analysis.
  • Analytical and Strategic Skills:
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
    • Strong decision-making skills with a focus on cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategies for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Proven leadership abilities to guide, motivate, and develop a logistics team.
    • Effective delegation and workload management skills.
    • Conflict resolution and performance management capabilities.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management:
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
