Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in developing the function’s objectives, targets, and action plan in compliance with the overall department and company’s strategy and objectives in-coordination with production planning manager.
- Participate in setting the annual production business plan through; identifying resources and investments needed to achieve and cover the intended plan.
- Receive the resources of the forecast and confirm the forecast with the production planning manager to validate and activate it once uploaded on the SAP system.
- Participate in conducting capacity study upon receiving the sales forecasts from the CS and Sales Operations Manager; addressing both the local and export Stock Keeping Units (SKUs); highlighting long-term planning; to justify the resources availableity and to consider reinvestment if needed.
- Automate the planning processes by utilizing the SAP system to reduce the manual work
- Assist in preparing master production planning monthly in collaboration with production planning management.
- Run the monthly Master Production Schedule (MPS) on the SAP system upon setting and developing the yearly production plan; attach it to the Material Planning function and cascade it down to the Production team.
- Update the production schedule at the beginning of each month and share it with the production team and material planning team.
- Review weekly production plan and oversee the assembly process, prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM) and calculate the needed material for each category of Products in coordination with Materials Planner to ensure the accurecy and detailed information are included.
- Participate in the Sales & Operations meeting in order to ensure the balance among the demand and supply.
- Develop and Automate the production planning processes by utilizing the ERP system to reduce the manual processes.
- Break down monthly plan into weekly plan and schedule it on the system; issue planned order in accordance (Output of schedule = planned order).
- Maintain and follow up on safety stock level and fulfill production orders through activating every order with its specifications; and scheduling with the production planner (receive order and process it).
- Prepare and communicate daily production planning and scheduling plans to ensure effective implemntation.
- Liaise daily with the Production Manager, Engineering and Supply Chain team on materials and machinery availability to ensure the plan execution efficiency.
- Oversee all aspects of production planning and control and the implementation of associated control systems and processes to address any improvement opportunties.
- Review the production plan achievement to address the plan variance and the ensure the accuracy of the plan with the planner.
- Review the capacity load at the beginning of the year; review to update and control and follow up on weekly and monthly basis to ensure capacity optmization.
- Monitor the monthly Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and check on the equipment breakdown to conduct risk calculation and recommend change stock level if required to avoid any sales drop and communicate with concerned departments for any updates in the plan.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Academic & professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- CPIM Certified
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or a related position.
- In-depth Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
