Job Description
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily warehouses operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by coordinating regular stock counts and audits.
- Optimize space utilization and ensure the warehouse is organized according to best practices.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing overstock and obsolescence.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages, excess stock, and stock discrepancies.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and improve operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, including training, performance management and career development.
- Establish work schedules, assign tasks and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the warehouse complies with company policies, health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Implement safety programs and procedures to protect employees and reduce workplace accidents.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels and key metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement in warehouse operations.
- Work closely with procurement, production and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Assist in developing and managing the warehouse budget, including labor, equipment, and operational expenses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Monitor expenses to ensure operations are within the approved budget.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience is a must – seven years in the same field.
- BSc/BA in business administration, logistics, supply chain or relevant field.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
- An analytical mind with strong math skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Very Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Working knowledge of inventory management software.
- Microsoft Office Computer Skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Preferable commercial or mathematical background.
