Job Description
- Initiate, develop, maintain and deliver information technology industry best practices, standards, architectures, enterprise and emerging technologies.
- Oversee the solutions implementation and delivery of software solutions.
- Understands customers' needs in technology
- Guide business teams through their requirements and advice about software solutions
- Come up with reference architectures
- Do architecture and code guidance and reviews
- Define the development and testing best-practices
- Help the team with the optimization of certain systems
- Ensure that the organization is using the appropriate technology and software and is not using End-of-Life software
- Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions.
- Deliver architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency in line with business strategy.
- Develop and maintain current and planned state architectural decisions.
- Act as the focal point for architecture, technology and IT standards.
- Guide, coach and mentor software development and tester engineers.
- Supervise architecture plus lead efforts to develop technical roadmap of all projects
- Maintain high-level performance for all up and running applications
Job Requirements
- 13+ years of experience with at least 2 years in managerial level
- Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. .Net, Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git)
- Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g. Hibernate)
- Ability to learn new languages and technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
- Attention to detail
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
