Job Description
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will work alongside web, security, DB, and the application teams to support architecting, transitioning and operations of customer-facing websites and apps, core business supporting systems and workloads, and IT systems and services, in Amazon, Azure, and Alibaba cloud services, in addition to private cloud / virtualization deployments.
Your responsibilities will include system administration, cloud technical design, architecture, implementation, security, cost analysis and control, reporting and support services.
- Area of focus will include IaaS, implementation, and optimization of highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on the cloud.
- Ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, security and cost optimization.
- Implementing and controlling security to and from cloud assets
- Coordinate and engineer availability zones and regional architecture for data protection, DR and manual redundancy failovers.
- Deploying, maintaining, and securing Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Providing daily, weekly & monthly integrated service management reports across all solutions.
- Supporting various IT projects, services, and implementations.
- On-call duty.
Job Requirements
- Deep technical knowledge of AWS EC2, VPC, Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, Lambda, Container management, S3, EBS, RDS and AWS Systems Manager automation.
- Will have significant experience with monitoring tools & IAS such as Amazon Cloud Watch and Cloud formation
- Professional experience managing/operating Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) systems
- Professional with automation/scripting with bash, Python, Perl or similar
- Professional experience with the AWS CLI and SDKs/API tools.
- Strong knowledge of “Infrastructure as Code” approaches, tools, and strategies - Terraform preferred.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management systems - Ansible preferred.
- Be able to use professional knowledge and problem determination/source identification skills to resolve problems involving APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, micro-services, containers, AWS ECS & Fargate, network, security and infrastructure issues alike. If unable to resolve, we will triage and route the incident to the appropriate level of support.

- AWS SysOps Admin certifications (Must!)
- AWS Solutions Architect certification (Must!)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (Must!)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (Major plus)
Experience:
- 3+ years Linux systems engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience, designing and supporting complex, 24x7, mission-critical hosted solutions
- 2+ years of cumulative hands-on experience, specifically related to design and operations of systems within AWS cloud platforms.
