Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
- Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects
- Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals
- Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
- Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
- Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
- Motivating people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
- Develop the Project Charter and obtain its approval with project sponsors and stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with any of the following specializations: Communication / Electronics / Computer / Mechatronics or equivalent
- A good understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
- Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum)
- 4+ year’s hands-on experience in project management
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Direct experience with customers and proficiency in tackling their issues
- Action oriented with ability to see the big picture about business and technical strategy for a project.
- Highly motivated, self-starter requiring little supervision; ability to multitask
- Team player with good leadership and people skills; able to manage and resolve conflicts.
- Able to motivate a technical/engineering team to be action oriented, set priorities, solve problems, and keep commitments.
- Good listener with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
