Job Description
- Responsible for any purchase of items required for the Hotel.
- Ensures ordered items are of the best quality available in the market.
- Maintain filing and archiving for all purchasing department documents.
- Handling the transportation of goods, supplies and documents between the hotel at Somabay and Cairo office.
- Obtain three quotations for each item needed and updating the quotations regularly.
- Reviews purchase orders for food, beverage, materials and supplies with regards to reasonableness in terms, specifications, prices, availability, etc.
- Interacts daily with the Executive Chef to ensure kitchen requirements are met and up to standards.
- Interacts daily with the Chief Engineer to ensure that all engineering and maintenance requirements are met.
- Updates the market survey list on a monthly basis.
- Maintains a proper supplier and item directories and update monthly.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Commerce.
- Very good command of the English language.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel.
- Material Control System (Hospitality System for Purchasing) user is highly preferable
- Hospitality (Hotels &/or Restaurants) background is a must.
- Hurghada, Safaga, Qena, Souhag or any nearby residents are highly preferable.
- A car driving license is a must.
