Job Description
- Grasp the rationale of the ICRC’s operations and those who might influence the humanitarian situation in the country and within the region
- Endure continuity in the ongoing IHL dissemination and training to Security and Armed Forces, as well as the work on IHL integration and develop it further, in line with the delegation’s priorities
- Carries out training and workshops on other relevant law and ICRC’s mandate and activities for target groups identified as priority.
- Identify, build and/or maintain a network of interlocutors in the security sector relevant to ICRC’s operations
- Helps to ensure that the activities are properly documented in line with institutional requirements
- Provides timely and concise internal reporting.
- Close Cooperation with other department within the delegation.
Job Requirements
- Retired Officers from Military or Security forces is a must.
- Relevant Military or Security studies
- Knowledge of International Humanitarian Law is a strong asset
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English
- Very good training and presentation skills
- Very good computer skills, incl. spreadsheets
- Very good analytical and drafting skills.
