To act as a trusted advisor to the country management team, business stakeholders and HR Business Partners on all matters related to HR queries such as on recruitment, on boarding, off boarding, polices local labour law, etc.

Work in liaison with all businesses in Egypt and provide support and guidance to ensure that the existing businesses are ready for expansion and have the competence to deliver. Design, develop and implement relevant HR strategies and practices that are built taking into consideration the challenges encountered by the businesses in Egypt and simultaneously ensure full compliance with Group HR policy and local labour laws.



  • To lead, establish and manage the HR Operations to act as trusted advisor to the country management team on all employee matters such as payroll input, on/off boarding, payroll input, HR queries, insurance, talent acquisition, managing complexities related to the countries macroeconomics, HR data and document management, etc.
  • Build and develop a unique qualified, talented and dedicated team of people able to deliver a singular vision of making HRRS the focal point of contact for all HR related matters

Operational Excellence

  • Develop a strategic plan for pre on boarding and off boarding processes and implement to improve the overall experience for new hires in Egypt whilst ensuring full compliance to local labour laws and Group AF policies.
  • Ensure the Corporate induction delivered by the HRRS team is of quality and all information related to the group, policies, online portals, etc. are provided to the employee n day 1 of joining.
  • Design streamlined processes for a seamless integration between the TA and on boarding in the on-boarding process
  • Ensure monthly payroll cycle is executed accurately and completed within the payroll cut off timelines by the team.
  • Design and develop processes to effectively manage the exit process for staff in Egypt.
  • Implement effective processes for visa application, medical card, company housing, company car, final settlement are carried out in a timely manner with 100% accuracy.
  • Enhance the service delivery model to all Al Futtaim businesses in an efficient and effective manner to support growth, business development and expansion. Deliver transactional and standard HR services in a timely / SLA basis of various HR domains like recruitment, on boarding/off boarding, employee data & information, SAP management, payroll, performance management, rewards and incentives, etc.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted business partner and guide the business stakeholders and HR Business Partners as per their requirements.
  • Liaise with COE
  • Act as change agent and facilitate transition – especially concerning expansion, business development and growth.

Employee Relations and HR Policy

  • Manage all employee relation issues within the businesses according to local law and Al Futtaim Policy, providing

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Human Resource, Psychology or Business Management Degree
  • CIPD qualification desirable

Minimum Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 7-10 years Human Resources management experience, exposure in various related industries preferred.
  • Must have strong mediation and counselling skills
  • Must have strategic, analytical and tactical abilities
  • Must have deep knowledge of local laws and regulations concerning the labour market
  • Must have the ability to acquire and analyse local market demographics as well as economic and labour market conditions
  • Enhanced computer skills
