Job Description

The Commercial Director is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic business development. He/She should oversee sales and partnerships, ensuring the company’s competitive position in the market, enhancing customer acquisition, and maximizing profitability through innovative go-to-market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy tailored to the software industry, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify emerging market trends, new revenue streams, and opportunities for SaaS and software solutions.
  • Lead and manage sales team to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Build, nurture, and manage key client relationships, including enterprise, mid-market, and B2B partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, contract negotiations, licensing agreements, and data security policies.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track commercial success, drive accountability, and optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to align commercial goals with product development and innovation strategies.
  • Foster a high-performance, data-driven culture within the team, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability to industry trends.

Job Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a software, SaaS, or technology-driven company.
  • Demonstrated success in driving software sales, revenue growth, and executing go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong expertise in SaaS pricing models, subscription-based revenue strategies, and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to negotiate high-value deals, develop financial plans, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Experience leading high-performing sales teams in fast-paced, competitive environments.
  • Deep understanding of demand generation, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
