Job Description

Job Summary:

Effective area managers are skilled in managing diverse operations from a distance. They have a strategic mindset and are excellent leaders. Excellent abilities in financial and operations planning are also essential for the role.

The goal is to ensure our stores will meet and exceed expectations of business development and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:-

  • Manage and develop the network of stores in the area.
  • Define commercial development strategies in the relevant market
  • supervise the activities and initiatives concerning points of sale (Showcases, Visual Merchandising, Promotions);
  • Achieve the objectives of turnover and profitability;
  • Coordinate the policy of purchases, logistics and supplies of goods;
  • Develop and improve training programs for sales personnel;
  • Act as a link between the central office and the stores in order to ensure proper communication between the departments;
  • Check the Visual and Marketing procedures for the best performance of the stores.
  • Guaranties that procedures, security and safety rules are followed in each store.
  • Responsible for the P&L of the shops of his/her Region.
  • Makes regular financial reporting to his/her Manager. Proposes improvements to his/her Manager.
  • Analyze weekly KPI’s and implement corrective actions accordingly
  • Ensure that group managerial practices are applied in stores.
  • Guaranties that procedures, security and safety rules are followed in each store (Shop Operational Process Book)
  • Controls implementation of the pricing policy for his/her region.
  • Guaranties store attractiveness in his/her Region (Merchandising, Offer, Services, Concept, Team competencies).
  • Makes operational visit in each store
  • Coordinates marketing and commercial events amongst the stores (decided by the Group or by himself/herself)
  • Develops local relationships (administration). Propose new locations to his/her manager according the Regional Development plan.
  • Validates Product Offer by store with Retail Manager and Marketing Manager.
  • Translates country objectives into regional objectives considering regional specificities.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
  • Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem-solving skills, able to meet deadlines
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • A very proactive person with minimal micromanagement needed
  • Strong Communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative along with a problem solving and decision-making aptitude

Technical Competencies

  • Be from Retail Background
  • Have done Store Opening
  • Well versed with ROI calculation
  • Will be responsible for daily sales operation of stores in his area
  • Should be good in excel
  • Should have experience in handling stores operation and franchisee communication
  • Wil be engaged In market recede and property search as well
  • The profile will include Regular traveling
  • Literate in Microsoft Office programs

Language Preference

  • Fluent Arabic & English.
  • Other languages will be an addition.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12-15 years' relevant experience
  • University degree
