Headquartered in Singapore, SJ is a diverse collective of experts delivering sustainable and high-impact solutions across the built environment.The RoleWe are seeking an accomplished Regional Director – Energy (Middle East) to provide strategic leadership and operational direction for our Energy business in the AMEP Region. This role will collaborate closely with discipline leaders and align with the wider SJ Group’s business objectives.The Regional Director will be responsible for ensuring operational and technical excellence, driving business growth, and strengthening client relationships. With a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects, the ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and hands-on leadership to grow SJ’s Infrastructure function in the Middle East.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and operational leadership across the Energy AMEP Region.Drive business performance through people, project delivery, and client relationship management.Lead the delivery of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects to budget, schedule, and client specifications.Build and maintain trusted, productive client relationships that enhance SJ’s market presence.Oversee preparation of high-quality tender and proposal documents.Lead, inspire, and manage multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations, ensuring high performance and cohesion.Actively participate in industry forums and represent SJ in professional networks.Key Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, or a related discipline.Minimum 15 years’ industry experience, with demonstrated authority in the Energy sub-sector.Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects successfully.Experience in the Middle East market preferred.Strong background in client management and business development.Key Knowledge and SkillsIn-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and legislation.Strong understanding of external market dynamics with the ability to translate insights into strategies and actions.High-level communication and negotiation skills; adept at resolving complex commercial, technical, and people matters.Strong analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking, coupled with commercial and business awareness.How to ApplyPlease submit your application through our official careers portal.
