If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.Position OverviewThe Technical Training Specialist will report to the Technical Training Manager and is responsible for helping employees advance their knowledge, enhance and build their technical skills, and increase the moral and attitude to prepare for success in maintaining the factory’s manufacturing equipment and facilities.The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training resources, conducts need assessments, executes, and evaluates all training initiatives; presents training material, vendor engagement and administration of the entire user learning process and experience for the assigned function.The goal of this role is to champion Lean capability, design and deliver training that embeds PDCA, A3 problem solving, Kaizen, and standardized work across the plant.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining OperationsConduct Training Needs Assessments to identify training and development requirementsDesign and develop customized training programs, including workshops, seminars, and online learning modulesFacilitate and deliver training programs to employees at all levelsEvaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to improve future offeringsCollaborate with line managers and HR to integrate training into the employee performance management systemStay abreast of industry best practices in training and learning methodologiesManage training budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsOwn and update the Dojo Station associated with the shop specific functions and manufacturing processes.Technical Training Specialty And OwnershipDeliver Lean foundations, VSM, takt/cycle time analysis, line balancing, OEE, SMED, 5S, visual management, Kanban/JIT, Heijunka, Jidoka, Andon, Poka-yoke, Root Cause (5-Why, Fishbone), PDCA, Kaizen events.Develop toolkits, calculators, templates (A3, standard work, VSM), Gemba guides, facilitation plans.Lead cross-functional Kaizen weeks; coach leaders on Daily Management/Obeya.Track CI pipeline, realized savings, and throughput/FPY improvements; mentor belts.SkillsLean systemsTraining facilitationProblem solvingData analysisChange Management and leadership.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.3+ years Lean implementation; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; TWI a plus.CLPD/ CPTD is a plusExposure and experience in a training and development role in a professional settingStrong knowledge of adult learning principles and methodologiesExcellent facilitation and public speaking skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAt Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
