Job Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations. This role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, and supporting financial audits. The General Accountant plays a key role in providing timely and reliable financial information to support decision-making and ensure the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls, including audits and tax filings.
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury operations as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including commercial, operations, and procurement to ensure financial alignment.
- Maintain and improve financial procedures and systems, including Oracle ERP and other financial tools.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing documentation and detailed reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function.

Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in a travel agency or airline industry.
- Hands-on experience in working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems, especially Oracle.
