Job Description
Tendering Stage:
- Review the ITT and prepare a list of requirements and address all contractual requirements and circulate the list to other involved departments.
- Update the risk register prepared in the tendering stage.
- Review the Conditions of the Contract and issue queries to the Engineer/Employer relevant to the ITT and Conditions of the Contract.
- Review notices and addenda.
- Prepare a list showing items relevant to the financial arrangements shown in the Contract Documents for the top management.
- Prepare a risk register for the risks/risks triggers identified based on the Conditions of the Contract.
- Prepare subcontractor’s Contract documents.
- Prepare or review joint venture and consortium agreements (if applicable).
Contract Administration and Claims during Construction:
- Prepare all contractual letters.
- Prepare Variation orders request / Contractual section.
- Prepare Notifications and particulars of claims.
- Prepare the Contractual sections of the monthly progress reports to the Employer.
- Review proposed Contracts Addenda.
- Ensure renewing the project bonds and insurance policies on time.
- Assure Company compliance with all project Conditions of Contract.
- Ensure proper close out of projects as per the contract.
Sub-Contracts Management Services:
- Prepare all contractual letters.
- Review all variations and coordinate with the main contract administration team conveying it to the Employer/Engineer.
- Review all the claims and coordinate with the main Contact administration team conveying them to the Employer/Engineer.
- Follow up the submission of warranties and coordinate with the main Contract administration team conveying them to the Employer/Engineer.
- Prepare risk register for the Conditions of Contract and update it periodically.
- Assure the subcontractor’s compliance with the project’s Conditions of Contract.
- Manage the team assisting in the above-mentioned responsibilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any major).
- 5-7 years of experience in Contracts Department.
- CLAC & FIDIC knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proven Experience as a contracts and claims engineer in the construction field.
