Job Description
- Develop and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate integration of MEP models with architectural and structural designs.
- Prepare, review, and update detailed MEP BIM models, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between MEP systems and other building components using BIM software.
- Generate construction documents, shop drawings, and as-built models from BIM data for on-site execution.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to provide technical support and resolve design issues.
- Implement and maintain BIM standards, templates, and workflows for MEP projects.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits on BIM models to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior BIM engineers and drafters.
- Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to MEP engineering.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in MEP BIM engineering within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD MEP.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems design, coordination, and construction processes.
- Experience in clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution.
- Ability to interpret and produce detailed MEP drawings and documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and BIM execution plans.
