Job Description
- Lead the development and coordination of mechanical BIM models for large-scale construction projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within overall project BIM models.
- Review and validate mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Oversee clash detection and resolution processes to identify and address conflicts between mechanical and other building systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings, schedules, and documentation for mechanical systems using BIM software.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior BIM engineers and modelers.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and consultants to align BIM deliverables with project timelines and objectives.
- Implement and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all mechanical modeling activities.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits of BIM models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years and maximum of 6 years of experience in mechanical BIM engineering or a related field.
- Proven expertise in developing and managing mechanical BIM models for complex construction projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD MEP.
- Experience with clash detection, coordination, and resolution processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret and apply project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality BIM outputs.
- Willingness to work in an office-based environment with occasional site visits as required.
