Role Description
We are seeking a qualified Senior Site Mechanical Engineer to join our team in New Cairo. This is a full-time on-site role where the engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing mechanical works on-site, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review shop drawings and compare them with design drawings to ensure compliance.
- Prepare material and equipment take-offs and support procurement requests.
- Assist the Construction Manager in preparing supply plans and manpower/equipment needs.
- Supervise material deliveries, verify compliance with project specifications, and coordinate approvals with consultants.
- Oversee execution of mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, etc.) within budget and quality standards.
- Ensure proper coordination with other disciplines (civil, electrical, architectural) for smooth workflow.
- Support in handing over completed mechanical works to consultants.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior site staff.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–7 years of overall experience in construction projects.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in site mechanical works
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
- Strong problem-solving and site supervision skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in New Cairo.
