Job Description
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
Ensure compliance with local labor law, environmental regulations, and international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA).
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective/preventive actions are taken.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for staff, subcontractors, and site workers.
Lead emergency preparedness and response drills (fire, evacuation, first aid).
Monitor and report on environmental aspects, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe execution of construction activities.
Maintain and update HSE records, documentation, and performance reports.
Mentor junior HSE officers and support continuous improvement in safety culture.
Job Requirements
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Professional HSE certifications (NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, , or equivalent) are mandatory.
Experience:
6–8 years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 3 years in civil construction projects (infrastructure, roads, bridges, or buildings).
Proven track record in implementing HSE systems and managing compliance on large-scale projects
