Job Description
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure proper controls are in place.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Prepare HSE documentation including risk assessments, permits, MSDS, method statements, and safety manuals.
- Monitor and enforce PPE usage, safety signage, and emergency procedures.
- Deliver toolbox talks, HSE inductions, and safety training to employees and contractors.
- Liaise with government authorities and external auditors regarding HSE compliance and certifications.
- Track and report on HSE KPIs such as incident rates, training hours, and audit findings.
- Promote environmental sustainability through waste reduction, pollution control, and resource conservation practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are preferred.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws, environmental laws, and international safety standards.
- Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure and in dynamic environments.
