Job Description
- Responsible for raw material, spare parts, fixed assets, chemical, packaging, transportation purchasing.
- Expedite purchasing of materials, equipment and services when approved to meet production deadlines.
- Issue and review all foreign and local production materials POs.
- Issue and review foreign and local maintenance materials POs.
- Prepare all comparative data to facilitate final negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors and issue orders.
- Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers.
- Sourcing for new materials suppliers.
- Periodically supplier and contractor’s evaluation.
- Getting suppliers and contractors confirmation upon Saint-Gobain supplier charter (ethics agreement)
- Submitting and follow-up claims and getting compensation if needed.
- Follow-up supplier payments according to the due dates with finance department.
- Sourcing and dealing with row material transporting subcontractors.
- Research for new products or vendors to reduce costs, improve quality and delivery time.
- Follow up all subcontractors’ services.
- Continues enhancement of payments terms.
- Gypsum Quarries supply chain activates.
- Purchasing data analysis.
- Report all purchasing progress on monthly and annually basis.
- Digital purchasing analysis.
- POs approval cycle follow up
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Commerce, Engineering or any related field
- Very good negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- 3-5 years of experience preferably in manufacturing field
- Experience in Foreign purchasing
- Very good English language speaking, writing and reading
- ERP knowledge, highly preferred in SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
