Job Description

Lead and supervise the preparation, review, and approval of electrical shop drawings (power distribution, lighting, grounding/earthing, ELV, LV & MV Infrastructure , and life safety systems) using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
Oversee BIM coordination with architectural, structural, mechanical, and ICT disciplines to ensure clash-free, constructible models.
Review and validate load schedules, panel schedules, cable sizing, routing layouts, and single-line diagrams for compliance with project specifications and international standards (IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
Provide technical guidance to intermediate and junior engineers, ensuring adherence to company and project CAD/BIM standards.
Lead the clash detection, model validation, and quantity take-off processes using Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent tools.
Ensure shop drawings reflect site conditions, consultant feedback, and project changes accurately and are submitted on time.
Support in Material submittals (MARs) review, technical submittals, and compliance reports.
Collaborate closely with procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability.
Conduct design verification and value engineering to optimize electrical systems in terms of cost, efficiency, and performance.
Review and validate lux level calculations, voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonic studies in line with project requirements.
Ensure proper earthing, lightning protection, and separation of normal and emergency systems in drawings and models.
Prepare and review as-built drawings and ensure alignment with redline markups from site execution.
Mentor and coach junior staff to improve Revit modeling, detailing, and coordination skills.
Provide progress reports, technical presentations, and updates to project management and consultants.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing large-scale electrical projects from concept to completion.
Proven ability to lead project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with diverse teams.
Proficiency in using electrical design software and project management tools.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards in all engineering activities.
Tools: Professional use of Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
