Job Description
Perform programming solutions for existing problems and system enhancements from documented specifications.
• Research, test, build, and integrate enhancements or new products based on client requirements.
• Coordinate conversion and/or integration projects.
• Design and develop new major software products or enhancements to existing systems.
• Prepare and provide software-related documentation.
• Provide status reports for ongoing work.
• Coordinate and address problems of system integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Consult with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements.
• Write code for updating SQL and Sybase databases.
• Correct errors and recheck programs to ensure desired results.
• Conduct trial runs of programs to validate results.
• Compile and write documentation of program development and revisions.
• Consult with managerial and technical personnel to clarify program intent and suggest changes.
Job Requirements
Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming with PowerBuilder 9 or greater.
• Experience in PowerBuilder foundation classes, concepts, and data window design for forms and reports.
• Strong SQL Server, Sybase, and SQL Anywhere background/administration.
• Experience in analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and implementation of large systems.
• Experience with legacy client-server development of major applications.
• JavaScript experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
