Job Description
Position: Credit Manager
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Reports to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures in line with FRA regulations and company objectives.
Lead the credit assessment and approval process for consumer finance products.
Evaluate customers’ creditworthiness using scoring models, financial analysis, and external credit bureau data (I-Score).
Monitor and manage the loan portfolio, ensuring portfolio quality and minimizing delinquency rates.
Design and oversee the risk management framework to balance growth with credit risk.
Build and lead the Credit & Underwriting team, providing training and performance reviews.
Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities (FRA, I-Score) and external partners.
Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and compliance.
Collaborate with other departments (Sales, Operations, Collections) to ensure smooth end-to-end credit processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master’s degree is a plus).
7–10 years of experience in credit analysis/credit risk, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Solid experience in consumer finance / non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs).
Strong knowledge of FRA regulations and local credit bureau practices.
Proven ability to develop and implement credit policies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and credit scoring tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
