Job Description

LXT is an emerging leader providing training data to global organizations to power intelligent technology. We are seeking an exceptional, growth-minded Business Development Representative to join our team. Your role will be to support and drive LXT’s organic growth to meet our annual business goals by identifying prospects and building a sales pipeline. 

 

As Business Development Representative, you will play a key role within a world-class sales organization growing LXT’s business. You will seek out new client prospects to develop a strong sales pipeline. You will be expected to develop an understanding of our business model and the capability to communicate our value messaging succinctly and effectively. You will also develop an understanding of the technical needs of our clients. You will work with our highly integrated Sales and Marketing teams to achieve your goals. There will be opportunities for career growth within LXT’s sales and marketing organization as the company expands.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting:
    • Create and execute comprehensive outbound prospecting strategy 
    • Effectively manage inbound lead flow as well as executing outbound prospecting initiatives 
    • Communicate LXT's value proposition quickly and effectively 
    • Identify new potential clients through market-mapping and organization-mapping 
    • Provide prompt phone/email follow-up to specific leads and properly document and track all activities.
    • Utilize business and industry knowledge and contacts to research opportunities, identify key players, generate interest, create/identify compelling events, and develop accounts
    • Meet, and exceed where possible, monthly, the quarterly, and annual quota of qualified customer meetings
    • Perform work duties during North American time zone hours to optimize connecting with prospects

 

  • Team collaboration:
    • Work closely and collaboratively with the Business Development Director 
    • Collaborate with and leverage teammates 
    • Schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives/ Project Managers 
    • Share market feedback with Go to Market team
    • Support the evolution of LXT’s sales organization and play a role in educating those who follow you into the organization
    • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the best outcomes for our clients

 

  • Continuous learning:
    • Set yourself up for a successful career by learning effective communication skills and gaining experience talking to executive-level managers at large companies


 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales-related area with a demonstrated track record of high performance
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls and cold reach-out)
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and prospecting tools such as Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
  • Well developed MS Office skills, and advanced MS Excel skills (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Track record of achieving quotas and understanding of sales performance metrics
  • High tech company experience preferred
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
