Job Description
- Communicate with partner agents, clients, trucking companies, custom clearance agents and shipping lines by phone and emails.
- Prepare, review, and verify accurate import documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, import laws, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and other service providers to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of goods.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries related to import operations. Proactively communicate and provide status updates to clients regarding their shipments.
- Identify and resolve any operational issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in import documentation. Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients to find effective solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of import transactions, including import documentation, customs clearance documents, and related correspondence.
- Ensure that financial aspects (billing and invoicing) and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with company requirements.
- Issue invoices to clients.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience, preferably in the shipping industry.
- Strong understanding of import procedures, customs regulations, documentation requirements, and Incoterms.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex import documentation accurately. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple import shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and resolve import-related issues, such as customs clearance delays, documentation discrepancies, or shipment disruptions. Ability to think critically and find practical solutions.
- Knowledge of Nafeza system is a plus
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English & Arabic
