Job Description
“Associate Data Management & Backup Engineer”
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their backup and disaster recovery needs, and design tailored solutions using industry-leading technologies such as Commvault, Veeam, and Backup Exec.
- Implement and configure backup and recovery solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing client infrastructures.
- Monitor and manage backup jobs, proactively identifying and resolving any issues to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Conduct regular testing of disaster recovery plans, validating the effectiveness and reliability of backup solutions.
- Produce comprehensive system performance and capacity reports, diagnostic information, and detailed “as built” documentation for supported infrastructures.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver IT projects effectively and efficiently.
- Adhere to all documented standards, policies, and processes, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Follow the IT Change Management process to ensure all changes are systematically managed and documented.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, helping them optimize their backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Job Requirements
- TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• A solid & strong knowledge and awareness with core infrastructure services (network basic, Directory services, storage, backup, ……………).
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, and basic troubleshooting of communication problem of wire/wireless devices.
• Good experience in administration and configuration of following products and technologies:
Commvault
Veeam
Backup Exec
Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure
Microsoft System Center Family
VMware vSphere
servers and storage - CERTIFICATES:
• A university degree is a requirement. - • ITI or NTI certificate is an excellent advance.
• Relevant IT certificates will be a good plus. - LANGUAGE:
• English | Excellent writing and speaking.
