Job Description: 

  • Develop and refine strategies to improve the QA processesTake ownership over the big ideas around automated software test procedures:
  • Facilitate in-house training in Cypress to level up each QA Engineer in this technology stack
  • Stay current with latest automation and infrastructure needs and developments
  • Facilitate training on SQL, C#.Net (for QA APIs), and our automation data strategy
  • Analyze data thoroughly to find the areas for growth and optimization
  • Use Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve product quality
  • Lead, develop, and mentor QA team members
  • Spend 1-on-1 time with QA Engineers using ‘pair QAing,’ coaching sessions, and regular meetings/chats to understand strengths and weakness, and to make recommendations for growth and improvement
  • Manage hiring, retention, and performance management for the QA team
  • Collaborate with Engineering leadership to deliver on’the quality strategy
  • Review client and user feedback and work closely with client-facing teams to understand the challenges and help Product Development teams mitigate them
  • Develop strategies to minimize the bug leakage to production
  • Triage and analyze defects to identify gaps in test coverage and improvements in the team’s processes
  • Do root cause analysis facilitation and coaching

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Deep experience building functional automated tests for large Single Page Applications
  • Deep experience with tools such as Selenium/Cypress
  • Knowledge of programming; familiarity with JavaScript, SQL, C#, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with API Testing
  • Experience with Jenkins and Octopus Deploy (or similar CI/CD platforms)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
