Job Description
-Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
-Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
-Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
-Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
- Implement the plans and executive programs related to the Purchasing Department.
-Execute purchase requests received, as well as all work orders within the scope of his responsibilities.
-Suggest improvement, corrective, and preventive actions that would enhance the performance of the department.
- Carry out all tasks requested by the Purchasing Manager and the Head of Department within the scope of the Purchasing Department.
- Submit a weekly report to the Purchasing Manager indicating completed tasks and delayed ones, along with reasons for the delays.
- Submit a monthly report on the expenditures incurred during the month.
- All of the above must be carried out in accordance with the officially approved procedures of the Purchasing Department.
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
