Warehouse Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Warehouse Layout Implementation:
Participate in designing and applying the warehouse layout plan to ensure optimal use of storage space and operational efficiency.

Documentation Process:
Establish policies, procedures, and the full documentation cycle from receiving to issuing, including item cards for each material to ensure stock accuracy and facilitate receiving, handling, and dispatch operations.

Problem Solving:
Supervise daily warehouse operations and provide immediate solutions to arising issues to maintain targeted performance levels.

Daily Operations Monitoring:
Oversee daily activities, including receiving and issuing raw materials, while monitoring shelf life and expiry dates.

Warehouse Safety:
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse and stored items (including raw materials, finished products, packaging materials, spare parts, chemicals, etc.), confirm pest control effectiveness, proper ventilation, and correct stacking and weight distribution on racks.

Training:
Implement the training plan for warehouse staff and train them on proper handling of raw materials, products, and packaging materials.

Quality, Safety, and Occupational Health:
Supervise daily compliance with quality, safety, and occupational health standards to protect employees, inventory, and facilities, and follow up on maintenance of warehouse equipment to avoid downtime.

Obsolete and Damaged Stock:
Monitor stagnant, damaged, or returned stock balances and submit regular reports to the direct manager with proposed solutions.

Work Coordination:
Coordinate warehouse activities with other departments (Purchasing, Production, Maintenance) and suppliers to ensure proper supply and storage levels according to the warehouse capacity and plans.

Safety Stock Levels:
Review stock reports for raw materials and packaging, and monitor reorder points and safety stock levels—especially for critical raw materials.

Inventory Control:
Participate in the annual inventory committee, conduct periodic and spot checks, evaluate team performance, and compare outcomes with the annual plan and KPIs to identify and address variances.
