Job Description
As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a vital role in MCC’s supply chain and procurement operations. You will collaborate with the Procurement Manager to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services, supporting MCC's ongoing projects in the MEP and Civil divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Material Procurement: Source and procure materials required for construction and MEP projects.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct market research and negotiate prices to optimize procurement budgets.
- Contract Negotiation: Assist in drafting and managing supplier agreements and purchase orders.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with project specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the project and site teams to forecast material requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain procurement records, including invoices, quotations, and delivery notes.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve any procurement or supplier issues efficiently to avoid project delays.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the contracting or construction industry.
Skills:
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with materials and equipment used in Civil and MEP works.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze supplier quotes and assess cost efficiency.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong capability in negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
