Job Description
An Import Coordinator manages the process of importing goods into a country, ensuring compliance with regulations and smooth logistical operations. They handle documentation, coordinate with various parties, and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation:
Preparing and reviewing import documents (like invoices, packing lists, bills of lading), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordination:
Working with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the import process.
- Logistics:
Arranging transportation, tracking shipments, and managing the movement of goods from origin to destination.
- Compliance:
Staying up-to-date on import regulations, tariffs, and trade laws, and ensuring that all import activities adhere to these requirements.
- Communication:
Maintaining clear communication with all parties involved in the import process, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of Import Regulations:
A strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures is essential, Knowledge of the Egyptian NAfeza and ACID system, as well as familiarity with local customs procedures.
- Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills are needed to liaise with various stakeholders and resolve issues efficiently.
- Problem-Solving:
Import coordinators need to be able to identify and resolve problems that may arise during the import process.
- Experience:
Many import coordinator roles require experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields 2 : 5 Years
