Job Description
We’re seeking a Stock & Cost Controller to join our Finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate inventory management, cost control, and supporting data-driven decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and control inventory accounting, including valuation, write-offs, and adjustments.
- Implement and monitor landed cost allocation to ensure accurate product costing.
- Prepare monthly COGS analysis and reconcile with sales and procurement records.
- Ensure proper stock reconciliation between physical counts, warehouse records, and ERP balances.
- Develop and maintain costing methodologies (Weighted Average, FIFO) aligned with IFRS.
- Support procurement, operations, and supply chain with cost analysis for pricing and margin decisions.
- Monitor and analyze inventory KPIs (turnover, shrinkage, obsolescence).
- Partner with FP&A for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement policies and controls for inventory and cost accounting processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in stock control and cost accounting, at least 2–3 years in a senior role.
- Strong background in retail, distribution, trading, or FMCG industries preferred.
- Professional certification (CMA, IFRS) preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset.
- Proactive, adaptable, and a strong communicator with problem-solving skills.
