Job Description
- Oversee and optimize the manufacturing processes for armored vehicle systems, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to implement process improvements and resolve production issues.
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production activities.
- Monitor production schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production floor.
- Support the integration of new technologies and equipment into existing manufacturing processes.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the defense or automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and quality control methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze and improve production systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work onsite and adapt to changing production demands.
