Job Description
- Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in alignment with client needs and project objectives.
- Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, material selections, and 3D renderings using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate interior design with structural and MEP systems.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather measurements and evaluate space planning requirements.
- Produce detailed drawings, layouts, furniture plans, and construction documents for implementation.
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, materials, and lighting designs appropriate to the project's style, function, and budget.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful execution from concept through completion.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate delivery and installation of design elements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Monitor site execution to maintain design intent, quality standards, and resolve on-site issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in interior design or interior engineering, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and completed projects.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, and color theory.
- Knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and building codes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a high level of creativity and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
