Job Description
Role Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing large-scale software development and implementation projects, with a strong focus on governmental and enterprise-level engagements. This role requires a proven track record in managing complex projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless execution of projects that are critical to organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale software development and implementation projects, with a primary focus on governmental sector engagements.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and client requirements.
Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and resources to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Ensure strict adherence to government project standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the primary liaison with governmental authorities, partners, and external stakeholders.
Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure client satisfaction with deliverables.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including developers, testers, business analysts, and technical leads.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor and coach junior project managers and team members to strengthen project management capabilities.
Process & Governance
Implement and enforce project management best practices, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid), and governance frameworks.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery timelines, quality standards, cost management, and client satisfaction.
Ensure project documentation, reporting, and records are accurate, updated, and audit-ready.
Risk & Issue Management
Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
Address project issues promptly, escalating when necessary to ensure minimal disruption to project progress.
Ensure contingency planning for high-risk government-related deliverables.
Strategic Contribution
Support business development and proposal preparation for new governmental tenders and software projects.
Provide input on long-term project planning, resource allocation, and organizational project portfolio strategy.
Represent the company in governmental meetings, steering committees, and industry forums when required.
Job Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10–15 years of experience in project management within the software/IT sector.
Proven track record in leading governmental software projects (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications preferred).
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, integration projects, and large-scale implementations.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing large project budgets.
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Fluent in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
