Job Description
- Oversee and direct construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets and schedules.
- Review projects in-depth to estimate costs, allocate resources, and schedule deliverables.
- Monitor all on-site and off-site works for compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage construction teams, site engineers, workers, and subcontractors.
- Select and manage tools, materials, and equipment; track usage and inventory.
- Prepare internal and external reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Identify, analyse, and mitigate project risks, including design, planning, and regulatory risks.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues on-site.
- Ensure compliance with contractual conditions, permits, and legal requirements.
- Negotiate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers when required.
- Uphold construction standards and enforce proper construction techniques.
- Report regularly to senior management and provide recommendations for improvements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5–7 years of proven experience in construction/project management within the civil engineering field.
- Previous exposure to formwork & scaffolding.
- Strong knowledge of construction management processes, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in project management software engineering tools (AutoCAD, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Competent in handling risks, conflicts, and problem-solving under pressure.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
