Job Description
- Manage day to day priorities within the department.
- Assisting the Management Team and provide support as necessary.
- Manage and leads the subordinates reporting to him/her to achieve targets and objectives set by the Company.
- Set targets and objectives to subordinates and monitor and evaluate the respective levels of performance.
- Handle and delegate administrative tasks required by this post
- Induction training of new staff on Procedures related to department function, measuring systems, and quality tools for systematic analysis of quality issues.
- Define training needs and manage training program of subordinates reporting to him/her.
- Evaluate supplier 8D reports and make sure robust corrective actions are in place.
- Manage of incoming goods quarantine
- Replace subordinates reporting to him/ her when these are on sick, leave or on supplier visits.
- Act as a Quality leader on specific projects assigned to him/ her.
- Take share of the workload of subordinates reporting to him/ her so as work is equally distributed and ensure that any bottlenecks are eliminated.
- Take decisions in line with company procedures while ensuring that when procedures are not followed, necessary actions are taken.
- Work within Environmental and Health & Safety requirements procedures.
- Work within the Quality Management System requirements and procedures including Certification and Customer requirements.
Job Requirements
- A Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience working in quality in manufacturing industry. With proven experience in managerial role
- Excellent knowledge of quality tools and methods (DoE, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, SWOT, 8D method)
- Using Problem solving tools like Ishikaua diagram 5w
- Excellent communication and English language skills.
- Excellent team leading skills
