Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jr. Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Fortinet SD-WAN, SASE, and Cisco networking technologies. This role involves proactively identifying and mitigating network security risks, ensuring the integrity of network infrastructure, and meeting the organization's cybersecurity objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance and security.
- Implement and maintain SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) frameworks to ensure secure access to cloud and on-premises resources.
- Configure and manage FortiMail systems to enhance email security and prevent threats such as phishing and spam.
- Administrate and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices, including routers and switches.
- Investigate and resolve network security incidents in a timely manner.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures into the network infrastructure.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies to recommend improvements to the organization's security posture.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet and Cisco security products.
- Proven experience with SD-WAN, SASE, and Cisco networking technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and VLANs.
- Familiarity with encryption protocols, PKI, and SSL/TLS.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture concepts.
