Job Description
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development of the company’s security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards for information security. Monitors its application and presents violations and mends to Direct Manager for approval.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain the configuration of security tools and software to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Presents periodical reports showcasing progress, recommendations and mitigation plans.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability testing, and security assessments to ensure that systems and networks are operating securely. Reports on potential security risks and vulnerabilities proposing adequate mitigation plans
- Incident Response: Conducts thorough investigations to determine the cause and impact. Implement measures to prevent future incidents ensuring effective and calculated response to security breaches and incidents is in place
- User Access Control: Tracks and manage user access control and authentication processes to ensure effective safeguarding to sensitive information. Presents periodical reports showcasing access control highlights and necessary actions.
- Business Continuity: Design and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization can quickly recover from security incidents. Communicates with relevant stakeholders ensuring alignment and key milestones achievement.
- Training and Guidance: Prepares and coordinates training and capacity building initiatives needed for staff on both holding and subsidiary levels on information security, best practices and monitors adherence and progress
- Relationship with Service Providers: Coordinate with vendors the Penetration test security tools and software needed ensuring the effective delivery of security services and solutions.
- Performance and Development: Act on achieving the annual KPIs and implementing the training and development plan, seeking Manager support to achieve personal and professional growth.
Job Requirements
- Education: Graduate from Bachelor of Engineering – especially in Computer Engineering or Communications/Telecom or Bachelor of Computer Science / Computer and Information Systems
- Years of Experience: Average 4-6 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Qualifications:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing security tools and software,
- Understanding network protocols, server and network architecture, and security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with the latest security threats and trends.
Preferred Certifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle Database
- Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate
- Oracle EBS or Fusion Applications
- Data Analytics or Business Intelligence certifications
