Job Description
Regular Assigned Duties:Executing materials and corrosion analysis/studies under the supervision of Test & Inspection Engineer.Assists in the preparation of engineering philosophies, reports and specifications related to corrosion control including coating selection, material selection, cathodic protection system design, corrosion monitoring system design and corrosion inhibition.Assists in performing corrosion risk analysis studies and pipeline direct assessment studies.Support Senior Engineers in developing and shaping bid proposals and Cost, Time, Resource (CTR) development.Should be able to produce detailed calculations as and when required.Producing high quality deliverables as part of the project.Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues; strictly ensure compliance with Company’s Quality procedures.Quality, Safety & Health and Environmental Management System must be implemented within the area of operation as per the company approved procedures and OIM System.Education:Bachelor degree in Materials Science or equivalent.Experience:Minimum 8 years of experience in materials selection and corrosion control techniques for Oil and Gas assets.Knowledge / Qualifications: Experience in materials selection and corrosion control techniques for Oil and Gas assets.Knowledge of materials behaviors and corrosion analysis.Working experience with NACE corrosion standards including NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 and pipeline direct assessment standards.Certification related to Cathodic Protection, corrosion processes and coating from professional bodies will be considered as an advantage.Good knowledge and understanding of corrosion mechanisms relevant to Oil & Gas Sector and typical materials of construction applied in pipelines, process piping and pressure vessels.Basic knowledge on Integrity Operating Windows and Online Corrosion Monitoring Techniques.Knowledge of corrosion management and mitigation strategies.Professional membership with an engineering institute (NACE or MICorr) is preferred.Working experience with NACE corrosion standards including NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 and pipeline direct assessment standardsAdditional Information:Department: TechnicalSection: Inspection & ReliabilityLocation: Yanbu, Saudi ArabiaType of Employment: Full Time/ Direct HirePost Announcement Period: 04/07/2024 to 17/07/2024
