Job Description
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects based on client requirements, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of tenders and bids, ensuring compliance with client specifications and deadlines.
- Perform material take-offs from drawings and specifications, ensuring all components are considered in the estimate.
- Identify potential risks in the project scope, schedule, and budget, and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes and clarify technical specifications.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while meeting client requirements.
- Review project plans and specifications, providing recommendations for cost-effective alternatives.
- Provide post-tender support by assisting in contract negotiation and adjustments to estimates as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cost estimation or a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., ProEst, Builder trend) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of a project are accurately estimated
