Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Officer specialized in import and export operations with hands-on experience in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone). The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of proven experience managing logistics activities, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and coordination with freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all import and export procedures for raw materials, spare parts, and finished goods.
Prepare, review, and manage all shipping and customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and governmental authorities to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Monitor shipment schedules, delivery timelines, and resolve any issues or delays.
Ensure compliance with Egyptian customs regulations and Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) rules.
Maintain accurate records of imports, exports, duties, taxes, and logistics costs.
Liaise with internal departments (procurement, production, finance, and warehouse) to align logistics operations with business needs.
Negotiate with shipping and transport providers to secure competitive rates and reliable services.
Track shipments and provide regular status reports to management.
Handle special requirements such as duty exemptions, temporary imports, bonded warehouses, and other SCZone-related facilities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, import & export within SCZone (Suez – Sokhna area).
Strong knowledge of customs laws, SCZone regulations, and international shipping terms (INCOTERMS).
Experience in coordinating with Egyptian customs, GAFI, GOEIC, and other authorities.
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software (ERP systems is a plus).
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent command of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial company located in the Suez Sokhna area.
Knowledge of letters of credit (LCs), bank documents, and international trade finance.
Familiarity with free zone and bonded warehouse procedures.
