Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Pricing Specialist with experience in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive freight quotations, maintaining strong relationships with carriers and agents, and supporting the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth cargo handling.
Responsibilities:
- Send accurate and complete freight quotations to sales staff within the set turnaround time.
- Contact shipping lines and airlines for freight rates based on destination and transit time requirements.
- Maintain and update the pricing database and prepare monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop and expand a reliable network of local carriers and global agents to secure competitive rates and routes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, international agents, and logistics companies.
- Coordinate with the operations team, carriers, and other stakeholders to solve issues and ensure successful cargo delivery.
- Advise and participate in decision-making regarding the selection of carriers and shipping routes.
- Handle pricing and quotations for both import and export shipments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding (import & export operations).
- Strong knowledge of air and sea freight pricing and procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written).
