Job Description
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise export/import shipments (air, sea, and land freight).
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government authorities.
- Track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and services with carriers, truckers, and insurance providers.
- Manage customs clearance processes and resolve issues (including Drawback claims).
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and inventory.
- Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics reports and identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels and align shipments with production/customer demand.
- Coordinate with the customs clearance team and truckers for container movements.
- Submit shipping instructions (S/I) and VGM declarations.
- Track vessel schedules, BL issuance, and freight documentation.
- Develop strong relationships with logistics partners, vendors, and customers.
- Provide timely updates to customers on order status.
- Handle freight claims and disputes.
- Collaborate with Sales Planning Teams to align warehouse deliveries.
- Responsible for managing all international shipping operations, including the export of finished goods through all available transport methods and the import of production inputs in coordination with the Procurement Department.
- Handle all procedures related to the Nafeza (National Single Window) customs platform, ensuring full compliance and timely completion of formalities.
- Oversee and finalize all customs clearance procedures, representing the company in dealings with customs brokers and ensuring the smooth release of shipments.
- Manage the Export Rebates and Drawback programs, ensuring accurate documentation, timely submission to relevant authorities, and proper recovery of export-related costs
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in export/import logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record in managing customs compliance and international shipments.
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Knowledge:
- Expertise in customs regulations, Incoterms, and shipping procedures.
- Proficiency in logistics software (ERP, Cargo, Nafeza) and MS Office.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation, communication (written/oral), and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Leadership skills with team supervision experience.
- Language: Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
