Job Description
manage the end to end export/import air and sea freight operations process, including booking cargo , coordinating with carriers and shipping lines, obtaining necessary documentation and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
communicate proactively with clients providing regular updates on the status of their shipments and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing international shipping , including customs clearance and all import/export documentation requirements.
monitor and manage shipping schedules and transit times to ensure on time delivery of goods
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customs brokers and transportation providers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
continuously review and improve import/export air and sea freight operations process and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in logistics , supply chain management or a related field preferred.
- minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferably in a freight forwarder or logistics company
- strong understanding of international shipping regulations , customs clearance procedures
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers and other stakeholders.
- proficient in Microsoft office and other office management software
- detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
