Job Description
- Prepare, review, and coordinate structural shop drawings and technical documents in compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with design, site, and project management teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on structural engineering deliverables.
- Analyze and resolve technical discrepancies, design conflicts, and constructability issues arising during project execution.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare material submittals, and assist in procurement processes for structural elements.
- Monitor project progress, track changes, and update documentation to reflect as-built conditions and modifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout all technical office activities.
- Support value engineering initiatives by proposing cost-effective and innovative structural solutions.
- Participate in technical meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare technical reports, progress summaries, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and relevant codes to enhance technical office performance.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering technical office roles.
- Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing structural shop drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of structural design principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other structural design and drafting software.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
