The role demands a strong background in safety management systems, risk assessments, and incident investigations to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. The HSE Officer will report to the Project Manager and will not have direct reportees.Job Responsibilities:Create and maintain safety procedures for projects, ensuring full regulatory compliance.Perform risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify and mitigate hazards.Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all site personnel.Monitor site activities through regular inspections and audits to enforce safety standards.Keep detailed records of all safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.Continuously evaluate and improve safety procedures and practices.Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety laws and industry standards.Implement and maintain an ISO-certified Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) Management System.Promote a strong safety culture by emphasizing safety awareness at every organizational level.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, preferably with a focus on Mechanical EngineeringNEBOSH & IOSH certifications are mandatoryMinimum 3–5 years of experience in power plant maintenance or shutdown projectsProficiency in preparing and implementing HSE plans and proceduresStrong knowledge of risk assessments, safety compliance, and site inspectionsExcellent communication skills and proven leadership capabilitiesStrong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills in HSE
